Toss your Cinnabun, but Keep the Ceylon Cinnamon
Mornings mean green smoothies and that seems tough for most people. But for me it has become a good habit, instead of morning coffee, it gives me a jolt of energy.
However, greens alone can sometimes leave a bitter taste in your mouth, I have ignored it in the past, but lately, have discovered Ceylon cinnamon.
This morning, my concoction was:
4 leaves of the top of red beets
3 leaves of green kale
2 large leaves of red cabbage
5 carrot tops from carrots I am growing
1 Teaspoonful of Matcha Tea
1 pinch or 1/8 teaspoonful of Ceylon cinnamon.
The result a sweet tasting green smoothie that will have you wanting more. Completely satiated I go on to start my Pilates class.
I hope you all try Ceylon cinnamon, it is a wonderful addition to your morning smoothie and helps to lower blood sugar.
I do not always follow a recipe, but I do have some great recipe books for smoothies. I recommend the Green Smoothie Recipe Book, but there are so much more interesting books to try.
Furthermore, Valerie Lull’s Books are also filled with interesting Information if you want to search some more into herbs, teas and spices.
Also, for a healthier living try Andreas Michaelides books for encouragement and finding your healthiest self.
