Koan Kreativity: Using Ancient Wisdom to Inspire Modern Creativity by Tim Ljunggren is a beautiful, relaxing book that tells you through various stories of how to improve your creativity in a plethora of areas of your life.
I can say one thing that this book make you do and that’s that it does provoke and challenge your thought patterns and established mindset.
The book is beautifully divided into 25 chapters that aim to address various issues of the everyday human life. Each chapter can be read independently, so that gives it a versatile option.
I also liked the fact that the author used traditional Zen stories, myths, and practices to mediate and promote them in such a way so we can use them in the modern era we are living it.
This book I am sure it will always open since with every day that’s we live through we are essentially a new and different person. New connections and associations thus new meanings and information can be derived and acquired by the stories of the book, provided we have the patience to read them over and over again.
Even that the book was written with the goal of helping artists to better their trade I found very helpful and useful information.
A man that makes breakfast for his woman and takes the time and effort to make it perfect has to use a bit of artistic thought achieve it.
You don’t have to be a poet, or a painter or-or-or to benefit from this book. I enjoyed, and I highly recommend it to anyone that wants to broaden his or her horizons.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
