What Food Labels Really Mean
The New Year has just begun, and some of you will be thinking about ways to have a healthier 2018. Often you can go to the store, and with all the different options it can get a little confusing. For example, many people believe that the words natural and organic mean very similar things but organic foods are what you should be buying. The reason is that organic food must contain 95% organically produced ingredients whereas natural food has no official FDA guidelines.
Another very confusing aisle in the supermarket can be the bread aisle. We usually avoid white bread, but many people believe that options such as multigrain at best but remember that all multigrain means is that the bread contains more than one grain; it does not mean that the bread is more nutritional.
