  1. Children are not in the habit of listening to no for an answer. So do not immediately stop their intake of sugar, give them lesser quantity each day and finally come to the amount that your dentist has suggested.
  2. You can start making homemade sweets using healthy ingredients. Although it will take the time, you can control the amount of sweetness that you are going to add.
  3. Keep the sweets out of sight as much as you can and introduce healthy items like fruits and vegetables.
  4. The parents should be a role model for their children. You must try to develop healthy habits in this way your children will follow your example and reduce the consumption of sugar.
  5. Lastly, the most important tip is to develop dental hygiene in your child, brush twice a day, use floss if necessary, rinse with mouthwash and regular checks up.

It is not that difficult to keep your children away from eating too many sweets. You need just to straighten a few routines and go to your children’s dentist for random weeks.
