10 Weight Loss Tips and Ideas
I just tried Google search with “ideas to lose weight,” and it gave me 2,800,000 results within
0.59 seconds. No wonder people are keen on losing weight. If you are someone who is, lazy and with weak will power, you definitely want to know some unconventional ways to lose weight. Crash diets and intense workouts are not your sport. Let us take a look at some easy, fun and different ways to lose weight. Trust me, they work!!
Eat spicy food:
Spices in food, particularly red peppers speed up the metabolism which is good news for people pursuing weight loss. In addition to this, spicy food makes you eat slowly. Usually, people eat quickly, and by the time their brain signals them to stop, they have already overeaten. If your diet is spicy, you will eat slowly and less. Result? Weight loss.
Take a snap:
Are you selfie crazy? This time you need to turn your camera and take a picture of what you are eating and do this every time you eat. At the end of each week, make a picture collage to see what you have consumed over the week. Your goal is to have a collage full of healthy food (the one you can proudly share at social media).
Bigger breakfast and smaller dinner:
If you keep a close check on your daily calorie intake, this one is for you. Take a huge breakfast every day and a very light with as little calories as possible for dinner. Studies have found this strategy to give out positive weight loss results.
Tie a ribbon or a belt around your waist:
Many of us have this terrible habit of forgetting their eating limits when it comes to dining out and when there is so much delicious food in front of them. Tying a ribbon around the waist (under the clothes of course) helps to remember the rule of not overeating. The ribbon seems to start getting tighter once you tend to go off the track.
Sniff the food:
Try it out. Sniffing on an apple, banana or peppermint helps in curbing hunger. So, the next time you are hungry, try smelling one of these. Studies say that when a person smells something, the brain gets tricked into believing that a person has actually eaten it. So, keep fooling the mind and keep losing weight.
Light it up:
Next time you go shopping, get hold of those beautiful vanilla candles. They give out a sweet smell when lit up, and this is what helps in curbing those mean cravings. Desert cravings after dinner in particular. Let them think you are being romantic when you are actually trying to lose weight.
Ride a bike:
Casual riding for errands and commuting can burn around 500 calories an hour, but if you up the exertion or add in hill-climbing, you can burn up to 1,000 calories an hour. Wow, no one ever took bike-ride so seriously! This means you can still have ice-cream if you commute to and back from your workplace on the bike.
Unlike the intense workout routines, yoga is a very different form of exercise. It trains the mind and body to work in harmony. This means yoga trains the brain to tell your body when to stop eating once you have eaten a sufficient portion of your meal. It also helps by preventing you from giving into the crazy food cravings.
Excellent for every time you break the rules:
Set up an okay amount for yourself whenever you go off the track. You will be amazed to find how the pain of losing money is more significant than not being able to eat that packet of crisps or a bar of chocolate. This applies to late night snacks too. Where does all the fine money go? Charity of course!
This is one way of weight loss to swear by. You can use Himalayan salt for weight loss in two ways:
- Salt sole: this refers to a concentrated solution of salt in water. Take a teaspoon of this sole (sol-ay) in a glass of water each morning on an empty stomach.
- Himalayan salt wraps: to work on target areas, use Himalayan salt wraps. We often have some problematic areas of the body like stomach, hips, and thighs where fat is often build up. The salt wraps help in melting away the unnecessary fat and toning down the muscles.
Losing weight is not as easy as putting it on is, but a few lifestyle changes and adopting things that suit you can help you a great deal.
